Northeast Global Methodist Church to Host 2025 Annual Conference in Cortland, New York

The Global Methodist Church is two years old and is the newest form of Methodism and is experiencing great growth around the world. In the Northeast United States, the Global Methodist Church includes 160 congregations over 13 states from Maine to West Virginia. This region officially launched in April of 2024 with a Convening Annual Conference to establish policies and appointments. The organization is now fully operational and is preparing for the first Annual Conference where congregants and leaders will gather to further the work of the traditional scriptural authority movement. Reverend Steven Taylor serves as the Superintendent of the Northeast Global Methodist Church and announced that the 2025 Annual Conference will be held from It’s May 8th -10th at Grace Christian Fellowship in Cortland, NY.

The Annual Conference is an important time in the life of the church as leaders and volunteers come together for prayer, worship, administrative actions and planning for priorities. Reverend Taylor shared, “After many years of work, we are now able to focus on further refining our systems and strengthening our systems to support continued growth throughout the Northeast.” The theme for the 2025 conference is Fanning the Flame and was inspired by the Bible Verse, 2 TIMOTHY 1:6-8, “For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. So do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord or of me his prisoner. Rather, join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God.”
